L’ Association Internationale Adolphe Sax * lance une campagne mondiale afin de r\u00e9colter 40.000 \u20ac pour la restauration de la chapelle fun\u00e9raire de l’inventeur du saxophone au cimeti\u00e8re de Montmartre \u00e0 Paris.
\u00a0\u00bb Inventeur visionnaire n\u00e9 \u00e0 Dinant en 1814, Adolphe Sax a profond\u00e9ment transform\u00e9 l’histoire de la musique moderne. Pourtant, plus de 130 ans apr\u00e8s sa mort, sa derni\u00e8re demeure se d\u00e9t\u00e9riore dangereusement : fondations instables, ma\u00e7onnerie fissur\u00e9e, infiltrations d’eau, croix endommag\u00e9e, \u00e9l\u00e9ments architecturaux alt\u00e9r\u00e9s. Chaque hiver fragilise davantage la structure, faisant craindre une d\u00e9t\u00e9rioration irr\u00e9versible de ce monument, qui abrite \u00e9galement les s\u00e9pultures de plusieurs autres membres de la famille Sax. Propri\u00e9taire de la chapelle fun\u00e9raire depuis 2004, suite \u00e0 un legs des descendants de la famille Sax, elle lance aujourd’hui un appel international aux dons pour pr\u00e9server ce lieu de m\u00e9moire embl\u00e9matique. \u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00bb A visionary inventor born in Dinant in 1814, Adolphe Sax profoundly transformed the history of modern music. Yet, more than 130 years after his death, his final resting place is deteriorating dangerously: unstable foundation, cracked masonry, water infiltration, damaged cross, altered architectural elements. Each winter further weakens the structure, raising fears of irreversible deterioration of this monument, which is also the resting place of several other members of the Sax family.
It has owned the funeral chapel since 2004, following a bequest from the descendants of the Sax family, and is now launching an international appeal to preserve this iconic place of remembrance. \u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n
